Frauensolidarität – Solidarity among Women

Solidarity among Women is a feminist organisation founded in 1982 and engaged in raising public awareness of development issues and the situation of women in Africa, Asia and South America.

• Library and Documentation Centre
  We offer a wide range of literature (non-fiction, grey literature, international magazines) on women in Africa, Asia and Latin America and on North-South relations from a feminist point of view. Most of the literature is in English or German but we also have some literature in Spanish, French, Portuguese.

  We publish Frauensolidarität - a quarterly feminist magazine on development issues, women's rights, and women's movements in Africa, Asia and South America.
  
  
• Radio transmissions
  We make regular radio transmissions Globale Dialoge (Global Dialogues) on Radio Orange 94.0. the independent radio of Vienna.

• Campaign for the rights of female workers in the informal economy
  We support female workers - especially women working in the informal economy - to defend their rights for fair working and living conditions. Our aim is to raise public awareness on development issues using a gender approach.
  
  
• Cultural and political activities
  We organize cultural and political events like public readings, panel discussions, workshops
